Tree Kangaroo           Genus: Drendolagous

Tree Kangaroos have adapted to life in trees. Kangaroos aren't able to walk backwards; but tree kangaroos can - a useful skill when negotiating branches. Sadly, Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroos are endangered according to ICUN. Habitat loss and Hunting are threats to this cute creature. However, people sre trying to save tree kangaroos by designating protective areas, capitive breeding programs, and strategies to increase long-term food security for communities living in areas populated by tree kangaroos.

Territory: Paupa New Guinea rainforests

Food: Leaves, fruit, grains, flowers, sap, eggs, yound birds and even bark.
