The vaquita is a very rare species of porpoise, found exclusively at the Gulf-of-California. In Spanish, Its name translates to "small cow". The animal's numbers dropped to 60 in May 2016. Other names include Cocichito, Desert Porpoise, Vaquita Propoise, Gulf-of-California Porpoise, Gulf-of-California Harbour Porpoise and Gulf Porpoise.
