Sea Lion     Genus: Varies on Sea Lion

In some countries, in the sea, you'll see something like a slim seal. This is a sea lion. They have a number of differences:

  • Back flippers of a seal are connected. Back flippers of a sea lion are seperated.
  • Sea Lions have flaps for ears. Seals have small openings for ears.
  • Sea Lions are able to walk on all fours. Seals aren't.

There are (or were) 7 species of sea lion. The extinct Jappenese sea lion and the 6 remaining. Sea Lions are popular doing tricks. They are popular in American zoos (Maybe because there are sea lions living wildly in California)
