Camel Genus: Camelus

Camels are split into scintific names: Camelus Dromdarius, Camelus Bactrianus and Camelus Ferus. There are no more wild dromedaries living in Africa, but lots living in Australia. Leaving two camels which are subspecies, of a bactrian camel. these are the rarest camels in the world, protected in Mongolia. 

 

               Territory: Africa, Asia and Australia.           The camel in the photo is a bactrian.

                Diet: Grasses and plants.

               Status: Domesticated and Endangered
